"What?! I have to send my passport?!"
We love this question.
It's a little hard to swallow for first-timers, but you do need to send us your passport so that your visa--a sticker or stamp--can be issued on a visa page inside. But let's begin at the beginning:
- Confirm your need for a visa You want or need to travel; we commend your sense of adventure. If you haven't yet, confirm that your destination requires a visa from passport holders of your citizenship. Then, determine whether you need to have your visa issued in advance of your trip, versus on arrival. You can check with your airline for the most up-to-date information; they won't let you board the plane without proper documentation. If you need a visa in advance, that's where we come in.
- Prepare your application package Navigate to the appropriate regional page of our site to find your application package and a list of other required documents, including your passport (please ensure that your passport is signed, will be valid for 6 months beyond your intended trip, and has at least one blank visa page available!). Read all the instructions and prepare the documents with great care to ensure the most efficient processing of your visa/travel document.
- Send us your stuff! So you've assembled the various documents and completed the appropriate application package. (By the way, as questions arise during this process, please contact us by e-mail, text message or phone.) Now comes the separation anxiety issues, for some: Send us your package, including your passport, via FedEx, to the following address:

- Relax Some hold their breath for this next step, but we suggest you breathe normally for the duration. We will assemble your application according to unique consular specifications (some of these guys are really picky) and hand carry it to the appropriate embassy. We retrieve your travel document once the visa has been issued, and deal with any complications in the interim. After verifying that the visa has been issued properly, we collect payment and mail your travel document and itemized receipt back to you. Unless you indicate otherwise on your Service Request (part of your application package), we will use either FedEx's Standard Overnight (next business afternoon) or Priority Overnight (next business morning) option and require a signature for delivery. Should you have alternate preferences regarding shipping, we are flexible but ask that you note as much on the Service Request and/or take care of those arrangements yourself (by forwarding your shipper account number to be charged or including a pre-paid airbill, etc.).
- Please check everything thoroughly Once you receive your travel documents, please be sure to verify proper spelling of names, date validity, appropriate number of entries, etc. Assistance deciphering mysterious visa codes is available.
